Aunt Mavis's expectations of her adult children are not unreasonable...I am coming across stories from friends that are losing their parents and in their grief are regretting the things they didn't do, should have done, time they should have spent and realizing all that their parents did for them and that their passing could have been less painful...Aunt Mavis's reality is becoming too common for many across the world and it is wrong and sad....if it takes strangers to spend time with her and help look after her then so be it.....there is an old asian saying 'the path to heaven lies at the soles of your parents feet'.
